Paranormal Activity 4 is not move to see for this season especially if anyone would like to catch a scary movie. In the first week of the movies release it grossed 29 million dollars in wasted ticket sales, according to Bloomberg Business week. This movie is a complete waste of money. The usual storyline for the Paramount Pictures low cost horror film series “Paranormal Activity” takes place in California with a troubled girl, Katie Featherston and her sister Kristi Rey who fall under a maglin spell which was put on them by their grandmother. As soon as this spell been put on Katie she begins to be haunted by a demon.
I believe that the movie reviews on this new installment was better than the movie itself “MTV News” stated, “while it sounds complex and interesting, I assure you that it’s not”.
This installment is 10 out a scale of 10 for giving the movie a twist by moving the scene location from California to Nevada. By keeping it in California, the storyline would have gotten repetitive. Rotten tomato thinks that “They could have called this [movie] Paranormal Inactivity.”
I give this movie a poor 3 out of scale of 10 for under the category of scariness. This installment to the movie trilogy of paranormal activity ruined the movies’ reputation of being extremely scary. If Paramount makes another installment to this teratology it would not gross out just like others and it would be a complete waste of money on their part, for both production and advertisement.
